SASAC disclosed central SOE’s transcript of oil and petrochemical profits topped the list

Yesterday, the SASAC released the report on the state of operation of the central SOEs in 2009. The oil and petrochemical companies topped the nine industries with a profit of 262.66 billion yuan.

Air transport companies ranked last with a profit of 6.82 billion yuan, but last year they reduced losses by 35.04 billion yuan. In addition, iron and steel enterprises, telecommunications companies, water transport companies, and commercial and trade companies are affected by various factors, and their economic benefits have declined to varying degrees.

Central enterprises’ profit growth slowed in July

Following the release by the Ministry of Finance of the economic indicators of the state-owned enterprises in July, the SASAC announced yesterday that the operating data of the 123 state-owned enterprises that performed the responsibilities of the investor were collected from January to July. The reporter noticed that the economic indicators from January to July showed a slowing trend compared with the increase from January to June. From January to July, the growth rate of the revenues of the central SOEs slowed by 1.9 percentage points from January to June; the growth rate of profits slowed by 10.8 percentage points from January to June.

From January to July, the total operating income of central SOEs was 914.51 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 42.4%; the accumulated profits were 618.86 billion yuan, an increase of 54.3% year-on-year; the total amount of taxes paid was 791.91 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 25.1%.
