According to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics on the 28th, from January to July, industrial profits in 22 provinces across the country fell by 17.3% year-on-year, a decrease of 3.8 percentage points from January to June.

From January to July, compared with January-June, 14 of the 39 industrial sectors in 22 provinces saw a year-on-year increase in profits, and the decline in the nine industries narrowed.

From January to July, the profit of transportation equipment manufacturing increased by 5.9% year-on-year, and decreased by 1.1% from January to June; the profit of chemical fiber industry increased by 16.5%, and decreased by 4.6% from January to June; the profit of petroleum mining industry decreased by 71.1%. The contraction of the steel industry fell by 77.3%, the decline was reduced by 7.7 percentage points; the profit of the electronics industry fell by 43.5%, and the decline was reduced by 5.9 percentage points.

These 22 provinces refer to 22 provinces except Beijing, Inner Mongolia, Hunan, Guangdong, Anhui, Hainan, Chongqing, Yunnan, and Tibet.
