Yunnan Aluminum Wins Top Ten Technology Progress Awards in Yunnan Province

Reprinted on a large-scale non-ferrous net: Recently, the "2014 Yunnan Top Ten Science and Technology Progress Award" was announced and Yunlv Aluminum Company's "Yunnan aluminum industry's comprehensive utilization of flue gas desulphurization technology has reached the international advanced level" was rated as "2014 Ten Yunnan Science and Technology Progress". . On behalf of the project team, the general manager of Runxin Company received a trophy and certificate at the award ceremony held by Kunming University of Science and Technology.

This project relied on the company’s Yunnan Science and Technology Agency’s scientific and technological research and development platform “Yannan Aluminum Electrolysis Energy-saving and Emission Reduction Engineering Research Center” to target the current aluminum industry alumina production furnace (kiln) and petroleum coke calciner (kiln) and Typical characteristics of aluminum electrolysis flue gas, research and development of aluminum industry full process flue gas desulfurization complete sets of technology and equipment, the establishment of "electrolytic aluminum flue gas desulfurization and de-dusting a chemical industrial test demonstration device", completed the aluminum electrolysis flue gas desulfurization defluoridation and dust removal Integrated technology research and development, built the first application demonstration device system in China, and realized the recycling and utilization of aluminum electrolysis flue gas. The comprehensive desulfurization efficiency can reach more than 75% and sulfur dioxide emissions ≤ 50mg/m3, which is much lower than the "Aluminum Industry Pollutants Emission Standard", and provides a demonstration for the global green aluminum industry.

The selection activity was co-sponsored by Yunnan Science and Technology Department and Xinhua News Agency, Yunnan Branch. In January 2015, the project was shortlisted for “2014 Ten Developments in Science and Technology in Yunnan Province”. Through Yunnan Province Science and Technology Department, Xinhua News Agency, Yunnan Branch and other agencies, they passed the process of selection of experts, public voting, and expert evaluation. They finally came to the fore and won the honor of “Top Ten Technological Progress in Yunnan 2014”.
