Russia may be forced out of Libya energy project

According to a recent news from Russia’s Interfax News, analysts at the Russian Petroleum Information Institute believe that the replacement of the Libyan government’s leadership may force Russian energy companies to withdraw from energy projects that have already been developed in Libya. US and European companies will enter the market.

According to reports, in 2005, Russian Petrobras registered a branch company in Libya and cooperated with Libya's national oil company to explore and develop four energy blocks. The cooperation period is 30 years and it has invested 260 million U.S. dollars.
