MDF performance

Physical and Mechanical Properties

Due to its uniform fiber structure and strong inter-fiber bonding, medium density fiberboard (MDF) exhibits excellent static bending strength, tensile strength in the plane, and a high elastic modulus. However, since MDF is manufactured from wood logs that have been completely restructured, it tends to absorb more moisture and water compared to natural wood. This results in higher swelling when exposed to humidity and a lower nail-holding capacity than particle board. Despite these drawbacks, MDF remains a popular choice for many applications due to its overall structural integrity.

Decorative Performance

The smooth and even surface of MDF makes it ideal for applying veneers, thin papers, and other decorative finishes. It also accepts paint well, reducing the amount of paint needed and ensuring a more even and professional finish. This characteristic makes MDF a favorite among furniture makers and interior designers looking for a versatile base material.

Processing Performance

MDF is highly versatile in terms of processing. It can be produced in thicknesses ranging from a few millimeters up to several centimeters, allowing it to replace various types of wood and wooden panels. Its excellent machinability allows for cutting, drilling, slotting, boring, sanding, and engraving with ease. The edges can be shaped into any form, and the surface remains smooth after processing, making it suitable for a wide range of custom designs and applications.

Synthetic Sleeper

Role of sleeper:

1. Bear the load, transverse force and longitudinal horizontal force transmitted from the rail, and distribute them evenly on the track bed;

2. Connect the two rails together to fix the rail position and keep a certain distance (gauge);

3. Fix the direction of the railway so that the railway will not have longitudinal and transverse displacement due to the force
