The ratio of individual ages is 15% for 1st age, 30% for 2nd age, 45% for 3rd age, 10% for 4th age and above, and 90% for gregarious cockroaches. In addition, along the Yellow River, Wanrong, Linyi, Yucheng and other areas have high-density spots, and the area continues to expand.
Judging from the current situation, the grouped East Asian migratory locusts mainly inhabit the wheat fields to be harvested, and do not eat wheat for the time being. However, thousands of acres of corn, sorghum and other grass crops have been eaten into polished rods, causing serious lack of seedlings and ridges.
According to the monitoring, at present, the East China Sea locusts in the Yellow River Beach Area, the North China Lake Library and the Bohai Bay have entered the second and third years of age, and the high-density insects in the southwestern part of the mountain are more important than the big ones. In the same period of 1998, if it was not timely prevented, with the increase of locust age, it is very likely that severe disasters will occur in late June, and even take off and migrate. A serious threat to crop growth.
In view of the suddenness, mobility and uncertainty of the location of the East Asian migratory locusts, the Ministry of Agriculture and the China Meteorological Administration jointly reminded all localities to strengthen monitoring and timely prevention and control to ensure that the flying rafts do not fly or become disaster-free.
It is reported that the locust is a general term for the Orthoptera striata, and there are more than 600 species in China. The most harmful ones are the East Asian locust and the Asian locust. The East Asian migratory locust is a grasshopper and aphid, which is a migratory and omnivorous pest. East Asian migratory locusts feed on a variety of gramineous plants such as wheat, corn, sorghum, millet, rice, and alfalfa, and can also harm cotton, soybeans, and vegetables. In 1998, Xia Wei of the East Asian migratory locusts had an area of ​​over 800,000 hectares in eight provinces (municipalities) such as Shandong, Henan, Hebei, and Tianjin, causing serious impact.
