Labor protection for dust operations

The solid particles suspended in the air generated in industrial production are called industrial dust. If it is not controlled, it will damage the working environment, endanger the health of workers, damage machinery and equipment, and pollute the atmosphere. The Hygiene Standard for the Design of Industrial Enterprises specifies the maximum allowable concentration of dust in the air of the workshop.
The labor protection management of dust operations shall adopt the three-level protection principle:
Primary prevention: 1. Comprehensive dust protection. Reforming production processes and production equipment, converting manual operations into mechanized, sealed, automated, and remotely controlled operations; using as much or as little free-silica materials as possible; and using wet methods as much as possible under the conditions of process approval Work; Use personal dust-proof equipment and do personal protection. 2. Regularly check the dust concentration of the operating environment to meet the allowable range of national standards. 3. According to the relevant regulations of the State, the workers shall be subject to a pre-employment health examination, and those who suffer from occupational contraindications, underage workers, and female employees shall not be allowed to work in taboos. 4. Strengthen publicity and education and popularize the basic knowledge of dust prevention. 5. Strengthen the maintenance and management of the dust removal system to maintain an intact and effective state.
Secondary prevention: Establish a dust-relief agency responsible for personnel and formulate dust-proof plans and systems. Employees newly engaged in dust operations must undergo health checks. Workers engaged in dust operations must undergo regular health checks and find it unfavorable to engage in dust. Employees who work must be promptly removed.
Third-level prevention: For employees who have been diagnosed with pneumoconiosis, they should be promptly transferred from their original job positions to arrange for treatment or convalescence.
