Plastic product output increased by 20% in Guangdong

In the first half of this year, the output distribution of major plastic products production areas in China (unit: 10,000 tons).

According to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics of China, from January to June 2010, the cumulative output of all types of plastic products in China was 25.765 million tons, an increase of 21% year-on-year.

Guangdong, Zhejiang, Shandong, Jiangsu and Henan topped the list, of which Guangdong took 5.86 million tons significantly ahead of Zhejiang (4.12 million tons). The growth rates in Guangdong, Zhejiang, and Jiangsu are all around 15%. Shandong's growth rate is 25%, and Henan's growth rate is the fastest, reaching 53%.

Overall, this year, the average monthly output of Guangdong Province is about 1 million tons. According to this level, the whole year this year is more than just a year ago. The second largest production province, Zhejiang, has an average monthly output of about 70 tons. Although Henan has a rapid growth rate, it has a low base. The output in the first half of the year was only 1.32 million tons, slightly higher than the output of Guangdong Province for one month.

In terms of subdivision categories, the top 10 subdivided products are showing an increasing trend. Except for “other plastic products”, the output of plastic films, tubes and accessories, silk/ropes and woven goods, and daily-use plastic products are relatively large. Among these four types of products, except for the slower film, which only grows by 17%, other growth rates are Up to 20%. Among the 10 categories of products, the slowest growth rate was in plastic strips, rods and profiles, which was only 3%. The cumulative output in the first half of the year was 790,000 tons.
