Recently, Albis Plastics and BASF have teamed up to improve the smart glove ULIMAL visual experience. An important part of smart gloves has been modified: ULIMAL Vision is now using an integrated scanning unit that is developed by well-known brand manufacturers who work simply, quickly and safely in the automotive, logistics and chemical industries.
ULIMAX vision technology is made of translucent polyamide and is used as an important part of the glove. Semi-crystalline polyamides allow light to be transmitted without any hindrance and are appreciated for their high transmission and low light scattering.
Renihart, product developer at BASF's Performance Materials division, said: "Last year, we introduced Ulimal, the world's first translucent component crystalline polyamide. Due to its excellent dielectric and temperature stability and good scratch resistance. Injurious, this excellent material is suitable for use in a variety of demanding environments."
Benjamin Schindler assisted the project in Albis, commenting: “These requirements are appropriate resistance to chemicals and high translucency to ensure that workers can see the signals from the internally mounted LEDs. Albis and BASF use super-horizon technology to improve smart gloves
BASF is able to offer special product specifications in conjunction with ULIMAX Vision. Different light diffusion levels and different colors can be adjusted according to customer requirements. ULIMAL Vision can be used for visual inspection of components, and Super Vision offers a variety of design options in the automotive, construction or consumer industries.
