1) Daily Maintenance
Regularly clean the painted surface with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid exposing your furniture to acidic or alkaline substances, as well as oil, which can damage the finish over time.
2) Burn Marks
If cigarette butts or unextinguished matches leave scorch marks on the lacquer, gently rub the area with a fine-grained cloth or a toothpick to remove the residue. Then apply a thin layer of wax to help fade the burn mark and restore the surface's appearance.
3) Heat Marks
Hot items left on the furniture may cause white stains. To remove them, use a cloth dampened with alcohol, toilet water, kerosene, or tea. If this doesn't work, consider repainting the affected area for a better result.
4) Scratches
If the surface is scratched but the wood underneath isn’t exposed, use a crayon or pigment that matches the furniture’s color to cover the scratch. Finish by applying a thin layer of clear nail polish to protect the area and blend it in with the rest of the surface.
5) Water Stains
To remove water stains, place a damp cloth over the mark and press it several times with a warm iron. This gentle heat helps lift the stain and restore the furniture’s original look.
Cleaning Tips
Always make sure the cloth you use is clean when cleaning or dusting your outdoor furniture. After wiping, turn the cloth over or replace it with a fresh one. Avoid reusing the same side repeatedly, as this can spread dirt and potentially scratch the surface.
Care Product Selection
To keep your outdoor furniture looking its best, choose from two main types of care products: furniture spray wax and cleaning agents. The wax is ideal for wood, polyester, paint, and rubber surfaces, and comes in fragrances like jasmine and lemon. The cleaning agent works on all materials, including glass, synthetic wood, and melamine boards. Using a product that combines both cleaning and protection can save time and effort.
Before using any wax or cleaner, shake the container well. Hold the spray can at a 45-degree angle to ensure even distribution. Spray onto a dry cloth from about 15 cm away, then wipe the furniture for a thorough yet gentle clean. Afterward, always wash and dry the cloth to maintain its effectiveness for future use.
