Then, wipe it down with diesel oil to dissolve any remaining dirt or grime. After that, apply calcium grease to lubricate and protect the moving parts. Finally, loosen the jaws and clean them using a clean piece of cotton yarn to ensure there is no moisture or grease left on the contact surfaces.
2. After every use of the wire rope hoist, Xiongfeng maintenance personnel should inspect and clean the wire rope. Remove any dust, mud, or oil that has accumulated on the rope. Loosen the jaws, pull out the steel wire rope, and carefully wind it back onto the reel in an organized manner. Make sure to wipe the entire length of the wire rope to maintain its condition. Additionally, use diesel oil to clean the mechanical components, and apply calcium-based grease to the wire rope and other moving parts for proper lubrication. Store the wire rope in a dry area to prevent rust and corrosion.
3. During regular use, the diameter of the lifting wire rope should be inspected periodically. If the diameter decreases by 10%, the wire rope must be replaced immediately. Also, if the jaws show signs of excessive wear and their load-bearing capacity drops below 80% of the rated capacity, they should be replaced to ensure safety and efficiency.
4. The hoist requires regular maintenance and inspection. It is recommended to perform maintenance at least four times a year, or more frequently depending on usage intensity. This includes checking all mechanical components, lubricating moving parts, and ensuring the overall functionality of the equipment remains in optimal condition. Regular maintenance not only extends the lifespan of the hoist but also ensures safe and reliable operation.
