The impact sand making machine is widely utilized in the shaping and processing of gravel across various industries such as highways, railways, hydropower projects, bridges, tunnels, concrete mixing plants, and construction. It plays a crucial role in the production of high-strength concrete aggregates (with strength grades above C60), especially when specific requirements like anti-freezing or impermeability are needed. Additionally, it's used for creating well-graded gravel suitable for highway pavements.
When operating an impact sand making machine, it's important to ensure that the blades are not stacked and should never be used as hammering tools. When cutting a workpiece, avoid facing it directly. As you near the end of the cut, reduce the striking force to prevent chips from flying out and causing injury. The tips of chisels, punches, and similar tools must not be quenched, cracked, curled, or have burrs. When manually cutting, apply even pressure without excessive force. If the material breaks, use light and slow movements to avoid damage.
When using grinding and drilling equipment, intern students must be supervised by a master and follow all safety guidelines. Always inform the instructor before entering the grinding wheel area. Apply even force when tapping or reaming to avoid damaging the tap or reamer. While assembling and cleaning parts, take care not to handle hot components. When heating bearings with oil, keep the temperature below 200°C to prevent fire hazards.
In daily operations, one of the first things to consider when using an impact crusher is that the material can contain some moisture, but the water content should remain below 8%. Excessive moisture can cause the material to stick to the crushing chamber walls, reducing efficiency and increasing the load on the machine. In severe cases, this may lead to jamming or motor burnout.
Before starting the machine, check the motor belt, current jog motor, and ensure the direction of rotation matches the sign on the sand making machine. If the direction is incorrect, adjust the wiring accordingly. For two-motor drives, the spindle assembly and motors on both sides should have the same number of V-belts connected and aligned properly. After inspection, resume production. Before starting formal operation, conduct an empty-load test. Only proceed with official production after confirming the machine operates correctly.
The recommended running time for an empty-load test is approximately 4 hours. During the load test, the grain size must strictly adhere to the specifications outlined for each machine. It is strictly prohibited to feed materials larger than what the machine is designed for. The feeding process should be uniform and continuous, with a moisture content between 10-15% depending on the material. Ensure the feedstock reaches full load capacity for the PCL straight-through impact sander. The load test run should last between 8 to 24 hours.
