The difference between verification and identification in automatic fingerprint identification system

The alarm application system can be divided into two categories using fingerprint identification technology, namely verification and identification.

Verification is the process of confirming identity by one-to-one matching (one-to-one matching) between a fingerprint collected on the spot and a registered fingerprint. As a prerequisite for verification, his or her fingerprint must be registered in the fingerprint library. Fingerprints are stored in a certain compressed format and are associated with their names or their identifications (ID, PIN). Then at the comparison site, verify its identification first, and then use the fingerprint of the system to compare with the fingerprint collected on the site to prove that the identification is legal. Verification actually answers the question: "Is he the person he claims to be?" This is the method that is used more frequently in application systems. Identification is to compare the fingerprints collected on the spot with the fingerprints in the fingerprint database one by one to find the fingerprints that match the fingerprints on the spot. This is also "one-to-many matching". Identification actually answers such a question: "Who is he?" Identification is mainly used in the traditional field of criminal fingerprint matching. The fingerprint of an unidentified person is compared with the fingerprint of a person with a criminal record in the fingerprint database to determine whether the person has ever had a criminal record.

Verification and identification have technical characteristics in comparison algorithms and system design. For example, the verification system generally only considers the comparison of complete fingerprints, while the identification system needs to consider the comparison of residual lines; the verification system requires less algorithmic speed than the identification system, but more emphasis on ease of use; , Generally use classification technology to speed up the query. In addition to the verified one-to-one and identified one-to-many comparison methods, in practical applications, there is one-to-few matching (one-to-few matching). One-to-one matching is mainly used in systems with only "few" users, such as a family member who wants to enter their house. The number included in "a few" is generally 5-20 people. One-to-one matching generally uses the same method as one-to-one matching.

Walking in the sun, we need to protect ourselves from the sun. Then those workers who need to work outdoors for a long time should be protected from sunlight. The significance of sun protection is mainly to prevent the harm of ultraviolet rays to human bodies. Anti-UV Safety Vest is mainly composed of fabrics containing anti-ultraviolet coatings and high-performance reflective materials, which can effectively protect the body from sunburn while maintaining high visibility, thus protecting the life safety of the wearer.
