The delta connection helps to increase the motor power, the disadvantage, the starting current is large, and the winding withstand voltage (380V) is large! Increased insulation rating!

Planetary connection helps to reduce the winding withstand voltage (220V) and reduce the insulation level! Reduced starting current, shortcomings, reduced motor power! Therefore, most of the small power motors below 4KW use planetary connection! Use a delta connection of more than 4KW! The motor with delta connection uses Y-â–³ start at light load start to reduce the starting current!
