The origins of cultural stone can be traced back to natural stone. In the 1950s, Mr. MEL, the founder of the current company CORONADO, had the opportunity to visit Xi'an, China. During his trip, he observed the production of traditional ceramic red bricks in the region, which sparked a new idea. Inspired by the craftsmanship and aesthetics of local materials, he returned to the United States with a vision to create a similar yet more versatile material.
Upon his return, he experimented with cement, sand, and other readily available materials to develop an artificial stone that closely resembled the look and feel of natural stone. This innovation led to the creation of what we now call cultural stone. Over time, this material became popular for its durability, aesthetic appeal, and versatility in both interior and exterior design applications.
