However, heavy components like minerals tend to separate due to centrifugal force, leading to poor mixing. Additionally, the gaps in the spiral mechanism can cause leftover material, making it difficult to achieve consistent results. Variations in operating procedures—such as the timing of mixing or the amount of premix used—can further affect the quality of each batch. This inconsistency can lead to issues like nutrient deficiencies in pigs, such as tail biting or weak immunity. When such problems occur, it’s important to check not only the feed formula and ingredient quality but also the effectiveness of the mixing equipment.
